Who Will Be Hong Kong’s Biggest Loser?

Last week I attended the launch of the Cambridge Weight Plan’s Slimmer of the Year Competition 2011. I met last years winner who lost an amazing 60 lbs in record time and has kept it off. It was quite an impressive presentation and I think the Cambridge Weight Plan would be a great way to slim down after having a baby. First the caveats, they will not accept anyone for weight loss programs until they have finished breast feeding and it has been at least 3 months since giving birth.  The slimming experience begins with a consultation with a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant who will assess your current weight, and your food and lifestyle habits.  After a program is in place (there are 6 to choose from) you will benefit from free weekly private meetings with your consultant to keep you on track.  The Cambridge Weight Plan programs range from 615 kcal to 1500+ kcal per day and are all nutritionally balanced to ensure you always get the Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals.  They also provide products such as shakes, bars, soups and porridge that can be used as the sole source of nutrition (under the most strict plan of 615 kcal per day) or to supplement a low calorie diet for more gradual weight loss.  If you are a new mom trying to loose the baby weight and would like to join the Slimmer of the Year Competition contact a Cambridge Consultant in Hong Kong.  The winner will receive an all expenses trip to London to compete in the International Slimmer of the Year competition, a one year membership at Seasons Fitness Kowloon Bay Club and a “Style Me Slimmer” consultation by Eve Roth Lindsay of Colour Me Beautiful.

Top tips for weight management from the Cambridge Consultant:

1.  Make sure each meal contains protein – it keeps you feeling full for longer.

2.  Drink 2 1/2 liters of water daily – a lot of the time the feeling of hunger is actually dehydration.

3.  Keep some healthy snack options around for the 4pm dip – nuts, fruit, yogurt, or one of the delicious Cambridge protein shakes!

A Wonderland in Hong Kong
September 16, 2010, 11:11 am

Operation Smile’s Children’s Wonderland takes place at Ocean Terminal next week to raise money and awareness for the charity’s surgical missions in China.  Operation Smile is a mobile group of surgical professionals who provide safe reconstructive surgery to children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palete.  This is a great way to teach children that they can make a difference and to encourage them to be more socially aware.  Children will have a unique opportunity at the “Sponsor a Child, Create a Smile” booth to decorate a t-shirt  for a patient on Operation Smile’s next surgical mission.  Children can enjoy breakfast, loads of treats, a number of fun attractions and performances from many popular children’s characters.  Tickets are $888 and should be bought before September 25th to avoid disappointment.  For more information and tickets visit their website.
